FINGERTIP GUEST TOWELS
SEWING TUTORIAL
YOU WILL NEED
1 yard of our IL002 Jacquard 100% linen fabric
SEWING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Pre-wash your fabric using our recommended washing instructions here. Then trim away the selvedges and any ravelled edges:
2. Cut the fabric length into quarters. Each strip should be around 13" wide.
3. Now cut each strip into equal quarters, which will measure around 8". You will now have 16 hand towels ready to hem.
4. Run a line of stitching along the short edges approx. 3/4" from the edge. Create a fringe by pulling threads up to the line of stitching you've just sewn.
5. If you have a serger, serge the two long sides, then press these edges over. Topstitch the serged edges down close to the edge.
OR If you don't have a serger, just fold the two long edges over twice 3/8" then stitch close to the inner folded edge.
DONE!
You can experiment with serging all edges, hemming, or even fringing all edges for different looks:
